Insulating your home is the most effective thing you can do to keep your home comfortable and healthy, and to save energy and money. A well-insulated home provides year-round comfort; it is cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. An insulated home is a drier, healthier home.
Around 35% of the energy used in the average New Zealand household goes on heating your home. If your home doesn’t have adequate insulation, a lot of your energy spend is wasted as the heat escapes.

Types of Insulation
Ceiling InsulationInstalled supply both Autex GreenStuf and Bradford Gold ceiling insulation. As most of the heat in our homes is lost through your roof, insulating your ceiling is a great step towards keeping your home warmer.
Blanket form ceiling insulation creates a complete thermal envelope in the ceiling as the insulation is rolled out over the top of the ceiling joists essentially blanketing the whole ceiling. Hot air rises, so having good ceiling insulation makes homes easier and cheaper to heat.
Underfloor InsulationInstalled supply Autex GreenStuf underfloor insulation. As more than 10% of the heat from your home can be lost through the floor, installing underfloor insulation is a great step towards making your home warmer.
Underfloor insulation is designed to provide thermal insulation under exposed joist floors of new and existing timber-framed buildings. Underfloor insulation also reduces heat loss through floors and assists in reducing drafts caused through joins in the floorboards.
It comes in a range of thermal performance options and as rolls pre-cut to fit standard exposed timber joist floors.
Wall InsulationInstalled supply both Autex GreenStuf and Bradford Gold wall insulation. Up to 25% of the heat in your home can be lost through the walls of an uninsulated home.
While it’s hard to retrospectively add or upgrade your wall insulation, if you are building a new home or renovating make sure you get in touch to discuss your options.
Wall insulation is designed for the thermal insulation of timber-framed buildings. They come as insulation segments pre-cut to fit standard timber-framing, or as roll form insulation blanket suitable for thermal and acoustic insulation of residential buildings.
Thermally moulded into shape, they are designed to be self-supporting in walls and ceilings and require no stapling into place.
Autex Sound SolutionThe addition of sound insulation plays a very simple roll. It reduces the airborne sound, impact noise and transmission by controlling resonating noise inside the construction cavity.
The addition of insulation to reduce the transfer of sound between one area and another is simple and cost effective. Rememeber once the wall is stoped and painted the cost of treating a space for transfer can be expensive. Design and factoure it in to avoid cost and create the space you wanted.
